It is my privilege as the Head of Primary to welcome you to The English School for Girls. My career spans more than 25 years in
British and international education, during which I have served as a teacher, senior leader and headteacher. I hold the National
Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from University College London, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University
of Leicester and a Masters degree in Science. My educational philosophy centres on the conviction that children learn best when
they feel valued, inspired and supported.

At The English School for Girls, we believe in high academic standards balanced with nurturing wellbeing, resilience and global citizenship. We follow a broad and balanced curriculum that encourages curiosity, celebrates creativity and fosters strong foundations in core subjects. The Primary Team are committed to academic rigor, research-informed teaching and the pursuit of excellence in all areas of school life and create a positive and encouraging environment for your daughter to thrive in.

I aim to cultivate a learning environment that is ambitious, inclusive, holistic and deeply attentive to each child’s personal growth and to provide a culture in which every girl is encouraged to think critically, act with confidence and develop the character and skills she will need for her future. Strong partnerships with parents are essential to this mission and I greatly value the trust families place in us when they join our school community.

It is a privilege to serve this vibrant community and I look forward to working with our dedicated and talented staff to ensure that each student experiences high levels of academic achievement while also being nurtured in a safe and caring environment. Together, we will continue to uphold the school’s proud tradition of excellence and support every girl in realising her full potential.
