EXPLORE OUR SCHOOL
mission & vision
At ESG we will provide support in a caring, organized and disciplined manner, encouraging each student to reach their full potential. Every child will have an equal opportunity to learn. We aim to promote amongst our students, the understanding and tolerance of any differences in ability, race or culture. This we will achieve through a common code of moral conduct in which Islamic values are adhered to and respected. We will demonstrate, through a balanced curriculum that the academic, social, moral, personal and physical development of each student is of equal importance. Our curriculum and school philosophy aims to encourage full participation by all students. We believe that the promotion of a partnership between students, teachers, administration and parents will enable each individual to become a valued member of the school and the wider community.
who are we?
about esg school
Schools work best when there is a close link between families and teachers. We believe that the promotion of a partnership between students, teachers, school leaders and parents will enable each girl to become a valued member of her school and the wider community.
Library
We encourage students to read a wide range of materials to broaden their knowledge, to develop their fluency in their English and to promote their love of reading. The books in the school’s library are available for students to use in lessons and to take home. Books are available mostly in English. Students are taught how to use the library as a resource, and the school’s librarian provides them with guidance on how to use the library in their studies. The Foundation Stage classes come to the library weekly for story time and activities and Secondary girls love to read to the younger ones when they have the opportunity. Primary students are encouraged to take their reading book home and to practice reading every night.
Bus
We provide buses for students from a very large area of Kuwait and younger students are accompanied to ensure their safety. The buses we provide are tracked with GPS, buses are air-conditioned and drivers are well supervised and experienced. All students are escorted to the buses by teachers, and the bus coordinator and Head of Pastoral Care ensure that all students are safely on the correct bus. Each bus driver has contact details for every child and drivers’ phone numbers are also available to parents in case of emergency. Most bus routes ensure the students are picked up and delivered home within one hour of school starting and finishing. If you would like your daughter to use the school’s transport service, please contact the school office who will provide information on bus timings and prices. Bus places are available for all students from Foundation Stage.
sporting facilities
The school’s events and activities play a very important role in school life. Many activities, such as maths and science week, are embedded into the curriculum activities that students complete in class. Other events such as National Day and Open Day are celebrations for the whole school community to enjoy.
Within Foundation Stage, Primary and Secondary, there are planned activities for students. A copy of each student’s class activity calendar will also be provided to parents and detailed information of all trips is sent in advance.
Science Labs
Your daughter will study science in a laboratory from Year 7 and carrying out practical scientific experiments is an important part of the school’s British curriculum. There are specialist laboratories for chemistry, physics and biology. In each laboratory, all students and staff follow agreed health and safety regulations to ensure that chemicals and equipment are used safely.
Canteen
The school canteen is a great place for students to enjoy healthy eating in a clean and healthy environment. We follow the rules and regulations of the Ministry and provide students with the approved recommended items during school breaks and before school starts.
technology
Understanding how to use technology is vital for students in the modern age, and as a result students in all year groups use ICT to enhance their work and develop their technology skills in a range of lessons. In Foundation Stage, students are introduced to technology through the smart tables installed into the classrooms and through their weekly ICT lessons.
